how come the red surface won't disappear after i set the U and V value

Hi Nasreen, I'm not quite sure what you mean. You mean at 3:30 - 3:32? What I did (sorry this is not shown) is I turned of the visibility of the surface component. You can do this by selecting the surface component and click on it with your middle mouse and select "disable preview", the component should turn to a dark grey icon
